Welcome Weims!

by

We first heard about this sweet little litter on Facebook when we saw a heartbreaking photo of their momma. We offered to rescue their momma from the high kill shelter but she was pulled by a local rescue. Unfortunately, the rescue left her litter of 8 tiny weimaraner mix puppies behind. But it was okay, because we knew that with a LOT of shuffling things around, that we could swing 8 more babies in need.

We saw the first photos of weim babies today – and they are adorable. We think they might be EVEN cuter when they have hair. That’s right …. they’re virtually hairless. These sad little loves seem to have a solid case of demodectic mange.

The puppies are heading to boarding tomorrow at a local vet clinic until they can be moved to wonderful foster homes this weekend. Unfortunately, the cost of boarding the pups for the next week paired with their mange treatment (fish oil capsules, vitamins C, E & A, selenium, zinc, ivermectin, special shampoo for their baths and VERY good food) is going to be very costly for our small rescue. TIMES EIGHT.

Any donations made on this Chipin page will go DIRECTLY to the care of these pups. Thanks for wanting to help our little bits. We cannot wait to wrap our arms around them and spoil them rotten in foster care this weekend. Check back for updates of our babies as their skin clears up, the grow like weeds & eventually find forever homes of their own!
