168 (& welcome 2012!)

January 11, 2012

With the help of our shelter-rescue partners, short-term fosters, long-term fosters, transporters, crossposters, supporters and friends ….

2011 was an absolutely awesome year for Bonnie Blue Rescue!

But before I share our AWESOME NEWS with you …. let’s take a look back!

In 2009, Bonnie Blue Rescue had 5 foster homes and rescued 52 dogs.

In 2010, Bonnie Blue Rescue had 14 foster homes and rescued 93 dogs.

And 2011? 2011 was an even more amazing year than that!

In 2011, Bonnie Blue Rescue utilized 32 foster homes and rescued 168 dogs!

Even cooler than that? Of those 168, 36 were special needs pups –

5 came from a cruelty case in Mobile, AL

6 required major surgery while in the care of Bonnie Blue Rescue

22 were heartworm positive & went through heartworm treatment

15 were super seniors.

GO TEAM!

I am so very proud to be a part of the Bonnie Blue Rescue crew. I am proud to be a part of an organization who helps all pups regardless of breed, age, disability or special needs status. Who goes above and beyond to save the pups that other rescues walk away from, or ignore. And I am so, so proud of the incredible volunteers who work tirelessly to continue to support our small organization with your volunteer hours, crossposting help, networking assistance, donations, love and support.

From the bottom of my heart — THANK YOU — rescue would not be possible without you.

We cannot wait to see what is in store for 2012!

Cadbury Update!

February 8, 2011

Sweet Cadbury is doing very well in foster care!

This little lady is doing so well with cratetraining and housebreaking

&

she’s even learning how to let herself out of the doggy door to “go”!

Cad is definitely an independent little woman with a mind of her own.

She loves to romp and roll with her foster siblings, she also likes to boss them around!

This little lady is always on the go & would do best in a very active family where she would have the chance to get all of her wiggles out on a daily basis!

Because as we all know, a tired puppy is a good puppy!

If you are interested in adopting sweet Cadbury, please email us at bonniebluerescue@gmail.com and request a copy of our adoption application.

Cadbury

February 1, 2011

Sweet Cadbury says, “HAPPY FEBRUARY!”

She is wishing you many hugs & kisses this month.

Cadbury is one of The Sugar Babies!

She is a 10 week old Australian Shepherd mix girl who is a funny, independent little woman.

Cadbury is now ready for a “foster-to-adopt” home of her own!

Cadbury is learning all about housebreaking & cratetraining in her foster home, but she still has a ways to go until she’s fully housebroken.

Cadbury is social with other pups and is a feisty little lady when it comes to romping with her littermates. She would do best in a home with no young children, due to her puppy energy and herding tendencies but would love a home with an active family and/or another pup to romp and play with.

If you are interested in adopting this sweet Aussie girl, please email us at bonniebluerescue@gmail.com & request a copy of our adoption application.
